Andy and Jaimee

Andy & Jaimee Joye have been married since December of 2003. They both graduated from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, CA, where they first met. Andy has a BA in History and Political Science and Jaimee has a BA in Biblical Studies. They served as youth pastors at Safe Harbor Church in Irvine, CA from 2003-2007 and worship leaders at the Safe Harbor Church plant in Whittier, CA from 2006-2007. They had both traveled extensively before they met and have continued to do so since. Andy first visited Ukraine in 1998 and took Jaimee there for the first time in 2004. Andy & Jaimee are both veterans of countless missions trips and outreaches throughout the world. This list includes Mexico, Ukraine, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, India, China, Panama, Kenya and Tanzania. Andy had made 6 trips to the former Soviet Union and Eastern Bloc nations with four trips to Ukraine among these, while Jaimee had visited Ukraine twice prior to their current long-term adventure. They are currently living in the city of Sevastopol, in the Crimea region of southern Ukraine since Summer 2007.

For their young age, both Andy & Jaimee have extensive experience working with children and teenagers, in orphanages, evangelistic outreaches and vacation Bible school settings and as youth pastors in Southern California. They have a heart to see young people discipled and empowered to carry out their individual God-given purpose in life and make a lasting impact in the world.

Andy & Jaimee love to spend their free time enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Black Sea, drinking coffee in their favorite cafe, watching American TV shows on DVD and riding their mopeds. Andy is always working on his photography skills and Jaimee enjoys baking and experimenting in the kitchen.

Andy & Jaimee also love to use their musical abilities to lead people into worship, as an evangelism tool and to encourage other Christians to step out in their giftings and to use their talents to further the kingdom of God. In collaboration with their long-time friend and fellow missionary Ryan Helbling, they have recorded 5 CD's as the Frequent Flyer Band!
